G.J. Gardner EDFNL Final Series

After 18 home and away rounds, the clubs and teams of the G.J. Gardner Ellinbank & District Football Netball League have reached the business end of the season.

Qualifying finals will be held at Longwarry Recreation Reserve on Saturday 23 August. Longwarry and Trafalgar headline the day with a double header in Seniors and Reserves.

The Elimination finals will be just down the road at Bunyip who have returned to the League in 2025. Ellinbank feature across three matches of football and will be hoping to continue their winning run that elevated them back to finals when they take on Buln Buln in the Seniors.

On the netball court in A Grade Nilma Darnum will be looking to hold off Ellinbank and advance to the 2nd Semi Final where the undefeated Neerim South Cats await. On Sunday Longwarry will want to make the most of their return to finals after a long hiatus when they meet Trafalgar.

Eleven of the twelve clubs will be represented across the finals - setting up for a great series.

The top finishes will be watching on eagerly to see who they will meet in the 2nd Semi. While Saturdays losers will have a second chance in the 1st Semi, it’s do or die on the field and court in the Elimination Final.

Preliminary Final: Sat 6 September - Lang Lang
Grand Final: Sat 13 September - Trafalgar

Football matches commence from 8:45am and Netball’s first pass is at 9am.
