Welcome to Bunyip this week for the first time in a long time. Let’s aim for 10 competitive games played in good spirits.
Today is the first game of the season for our U15 netballers and U18 footballers who had to cool their jets last week. Enjoy the opportunity and try your best.
As a community club who rely on our community for participation and support we make a point of giving back. This year for the first part of this season we are raising money and awareness for Dare to Hope, who are doing the same for Pancreatic cancer by funding medical research. You may have seen their purple colours around
during the Easter AFL round and especially the Hawthorn v Geelong game.
We have started putting a raffle together that will be drawn at our May 9 sponsor’s day by Greg Dear, triple Hawthorn premiership player, Dare to Hope director and brother of Norm Smith medallist Paul Dear who succumbed to pancreatic cancer but not before he and his with Cherie started Dare to Hope.
If you would like to donate any items for this raffle, please see one of our bar staff. So far we have:
 a large trailer load of firewood,
 a swag kindly donated by Out there 4x4 and camping in Warragul
 a Dewalt power tool pack from Poowong Dairy and Hardware
 A $100 meal voucher from the Poowong Hotel
Tickets can be purchased at the gate, the bar or online through our Facebook page until the raffle is drawn and all proceeds plus a donation from the club will go to Dare to Hope. Alternatively, the below QR code will take you to their website where you can make a donation.
